SetPoint ("the app," "we," "us") is developed by Aneris Designs. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and your choices.
Summary
SetPoint is built to work without sending your data anywhere. There's no account required, no server your match data passes through, and no advertising or analytics tracking inside the app. Everything below explains exactly what limited information does exist and where it lives.
Information We Collect
Registration information (optional)
SetPoint offers an optional registration step so you can hear about new features and updates. If you choose to register, we ask for your name and email address.
This information is stored only on your own device. SetPoint has no backend server, so this data is never transmitted to Aneris Designs or anyone else. If you skip registration and use the app as a guest, no personal information is collected at all.
Match and settings data
Team names, match settings (scoring rules, sport selection, deuce rules, etc.), and live scores are stored locally on your device to run the app. This data is not collected, transmitted, or stored by us in any form.
Phone and watch communication
If you use SetPoint on a paired Wear OS watch, score updates are sent directly between your phone and your watch over Bluetooth, using Android's standard device-to-device communication. This connection stays between your own two devices and does not pass through any external server.
Information We Do Not Collect
SetPoint does not collect, and the app contains no code to collect:
- Location data
- Contacts, photos, or files
- Advertising identifiers
- Analytics or usage tracking data
- Crash or diagnostic reports sent to a third party
The app does not display advertising and does not share any data with third parties, because no data leaves your device in the first place.
Voice Announcements
SetPoint uses your device's built-in text-to-speech engine to announce scores out loud during a match. This processing happens entirely on your device and is not recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere.
Children's Privacy
SetPoint does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The optional registration feature is intended for adult users managing their own account.
Data Retention and Deletion
Since registration information is stored only on your device, you can remove it at any time by clearing the app's data or storage in your device settings, or by uninstalling the app. There is no server-side copy to request deletion of, because none exists.
Changes to This Policy
If SetPoint's functionality changes in a way that affects this policy (for example, if a future version adds cloud sync or analytics), we'll update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
